The Looney's Hack Show & other video/audio works

Videos here are in various formats. If you encounter a video format for which you don't have a player, I suggest VLC Media Player. It's a free open-source package.

2005

The Looney's Hack Show: Episode 3.5 (Television) (14 minutes) This half-completed episode was finally assembled from source material collected over years. It includes several skits available separately (Fast Food's Biggest Mistakes, Cows & Plantlife, Burglary Bonanza) but also includes several link skits that aren't available separately. And one PSA that is completely freaking real, that really shouldn't be.

  • lhs4.avi: AVI media (92 MB) with DivX 5 codec.

Burglary Bonanza (3 minutes) is a riff on Supermarket Sweep.

  • burglary.avi: AVI media (22 MB) with DivX 5 codec.
  • burglary.html: Web page (7.6 KB)
The Rug (36 seconds) is a promotion for the full-length Rug movie, which was never finished.
  • rug-mpg4.avi: AVI media (7.7 MB) with DivX 5 codec.
Random Silliness: Outtakes & Other Bizarre Stuff (11 minutes). Outtakes from over the years, interspersed with general strangeness of our group.
  • outtakes-mpg4.avi: AVI media (144 MB) with DivX 5 codec.

2003

Fast Food's Biggest Mistakes (2 minutes). Inserts for Bob & Tom were finally taped and combined with Burton Palmer's bits from 10 years prior to finally complete this skit. Though additional Mistakes scripts were written, only #1 was produced. The series of skits was destined for a "food" episode that was never to happen. It was eventually combined with a handful of other skits to form the half-completed television episode (#4).

  • ffbm1.avi: AVI media (31 MB) with Cinepak codec.
  • ffbm1.mov: QuickTime video (27 MB)
  • ffbm1.txt: Text file (1.5 KB)

Hoberton Telephone infomercial was written and videotaping started (though shots of Perette as Cherry Aimless appears in the open credits to episode 3.5), but cast coordination proved entirely too unreliable to finish production, and the project was abandoned.

Perette's Neon Genesis Evangelion Music Video (40 seconds). The piece is Background Music II from the same series.

  • angel-4-dinner.avi: AVI media (9.6 MB) with Cinepak codec.
  • angel-4-dinner.mov: QuickTime video (8.4 MB)

1998

Cows and Plantlife (4 minutes).

  • cowplant.avi: AVI media (10 MB) with DivX 5 codec.
  • cowplant.rm: RealMedia media (1.2 MB)
  • cowplant.txt: Text file (5.1 KB)

1992 - 1996

The Looney's Hack Show: Food, Driving, and Televison episodes were planned and several skits were written. A few were produced, so as production stalled in 1992 they were used to fill in gaps left by skits in Money that weren't completed.

1989

Remake of the Daleks (15 minutes). The 1998 remaster of the first Red Brick Production - a Doctor Who episode done as a silent film. There are technical issues with the production, especially the lighting. And, even for a silent film, the acting is really bad. It does, however, include plenty of cool music.

  • remake.avi: AVI media (101 MB) with DivX 5 codec.
We talked of a sequel, and even wrote part of a script for True Genesis of the Daleks.
