Ballad of the Battle of Unther

Written by Lothael Lilly

We trekked across the fire swamp
unto the land of Unther
we spent a few days 'sploring there
and found the undead under.

We traveled in the caverns there
'til we saw the red eyes glare
The mage she cast a spell ensnare
And then just briefly fire flared

Our mage, he did create-a-pit
and into it a few wraiths fit
So when the wraiths began to fly
then we thought, "we're gonna die"

We prob'ly should have run away
instead we stood and fought the wraiths
The wraiths they touched and took our strength
and yet we fought with just a flinch

The water sprite with Trident poked
when nothing happened her spirit broke
The mages were hit and they went down
two were left to end the round

The druid with her fire-stick
into the wraiths she did it stick
the wraiths let out their raspy roar
and cast her ill upon the floor

The ranger turned to face the two
who with the last of strength she slew
All the fallen she did face
and so she turned unto her faith

She must have said a mighty prayer
for when she looked upon the stair
she found a magic potion there
to restore the man and maidens faire
