Re-initialize
During boot start>programs>command
There is cmd access until init completes, dialog is closed,
or focus is lost.

"Menu" key + click on background to raise task manager

At "Initialization Complete" dialog, "Menu" key + click on background
will bring up a menu to restore, check software, etc.  Details fuzzy.

--or, to hack a machine with data--
grab an rm1 with a program
reboot
while booting start>programs>command
restore data y
warm boot no
while decompressoin, close window 2kill pgm.
abort.
Software crashes and there is CLI access.

keboard:
abc=number<-->alphabet
examine=window frame on/off.
menu = alt key
alt click on desktop=task manager

Installed software:
* windows media player
* explorer
* control panel
* wifi utilities

rgis software is in
c:\windows
c:\program files
d: (look for rgis directory)

The device can see usb drives.
Re-initialize doesn't erase the registry, but
does erase c:\ (all?)
It resets some of d: but not all...... it is possible to install
add files/directories that will remain (possibly depending on location).
